I dunno... The melody seems like it's all over the place. The mixing is pretty good on this one, though the instrument choice is wacky, it's like they don't blend with each other well. The percussions also sound like they were forced in, but maybe it's just me. For a second track it's not at all bad, but still requires work. Best of luck in future releases :-)

OktoPianist responds:

I admit that, not being used to work with professional sounds, I am aware that I could seem wacky or weird. The purpose of the track was to let the listeners having fun, to entertain them, not to give them the correct sound. If the idea is good, it could be played by a calculator and it remains good. That's the spirit which I followed when writing the song. This being said, I know I am not Moroder, but I ask you to review my work not only by its sound, but from a compositional point of view, in therm of musical efficiency. I know it is a difficult task, but maybe more sofisticated sounds could be implemented later.

It starts of great, but gets repetitive as it goes. It kind of left me hanging and longing for a melody development. Mastering-wise it's great. Like the drums you've used there. Pretty Decent! :-)

xanxoepico responds:

good ol 909 drums always do the trick! and yeah even though I tried to chop the sample more this time it does have some parts where I could've done more, still learning how to really do the french house style B)

Is this a live performance or made on a DAW? Either way it sounds VERY nice. My only problem is that it requires a little bit of volume mastering. Unrelated, but maybe also add something in the background to compliment the guitar melody? Great atmo. well done :-)

DimDud072810 responds:

Thanks, it was live.

This is definitely something I'd not listen the second time, especially on its own.

The overall atmosphere here is incredible. I can see you tried to put the listener in a state of disquietude and it really did its job well. It did put me into the state of unneasyness. The guitar strings compliment the overall texture and atmosphere of the track.

All in all: A very good experiment, but not something I'd listen to occasionally.

JimmyTheCaterpillar responds:

i am really grateful you listened and that it resonated even though it's not traditionally your jam! be careful -- noise is one of those bugs that kinda just bites you and b4 you know it all your normal genres are replaced with "hauntscapes" and "atmosphere" and "speedcore" lol!!! have a great day Looper!
